NEWS

**New Citizenship and Service Award**

For over 35 years, the Association of Assistant Principals (AAP) has recognized children who have served their communities with the Martin Safran Service Award. This year, the AAP Executive Board is pleased to also recognize CSA members for outstanding service to children and/or their communities. In addition to meeting their responsibilities in their schools, many assistant principals are active in their communities, demonstrating and exemplifying the values of citizenship and service. AAP anticipates honoring these members at the annual AAP Scholarship Awards Dinner.

The criteria for the Citizenship and Service Award includes, but is not limited to:

  • Helping and contributing to society/community

  • Volunteering time to support the community

  • Working with community organizations
